Responsibilities of Membership

  • Playgroup is a nut free zone!

  • We have four busy bees a year. We would expect at least two members from each group to volunteer to clean, which involves sorting through toys, disinfecting toys, and reorganising etc.

  • Remember if you volunteer at a busy bee, you will get up to $40 of your membership fee refunded ($20 per busy bee)

General Cleaning
Each group is responsible for the following tasks at the end of each session

  • Put away all toys; when tidying up ensure that toys are returned to their correct tub/sealed container using the numbers or pictures as a guide.

  • Please leave the toy shelves tidy. Dirty or broken toys are to be removed and placed with an attached note in the broken toy area at to the right of the toilets. Please notify the committee so we can endeavour to remove and replace the items as soon as possible.

  • Wash and put away dishes.

  • Remove all opened food and drinks from the fridge. Please date opened long life milk, so the next group can use without wondering when it was opened.

  • Wipe down tables and stack away and used chairs.

  • Empty all bins, and replace bin liner. Please do not leave any rubbish in the centre for the next group to find. Consideration for all members is much appreciated.

  • Clean toilets and wipe over the bathroom sink.

  • Sweep and mop floors.

  • Vacuum carpet and empty vacuum cleaner.

  • Sweep outside front entrance area.

  • Put away all the outdoor toys, cars, bikes etc. back into the shed and ensure the padlock is back on and locked.

  • Turn off all lights, air-condition, and set the alarm before leaving.

  • Lock padlock to secure gate.

Please note

Some toys are not suitable, or safe, for children under 3 years due to small parts.

Please consider others attending your session when using these toys – safety is an important concern.

If an adult is not available to supervise the indoor play area at all times, please do not make inappropriate toys accessible to the small children.
